Hi everyone! As promised, here is some info on where to find the materials we use in class:
Most of what we use is purchased from West Music (http://www.westmusic.com/)
You can find the echo mics at Target in the cheap toy aisle (but they're not always there). They're also available online.
The recordings we used today were both from the Putumayo label (http://www.putumayo.com/) - they have wonderful CDs for adults and children of a variety of world music. Today's selections were "Bonjour, Bonjour" (L'autobus A Vapeur, from Putumayo- French Playground CD) and "Naima" (Angelique Kidjo with Carlos Santana, from Putumayo - Dreamland).
